Day 1:
Arrival at Entebbe Airport and transfer to hotel
in
Kampala
Day 2: Drive to the headquarters of Rwenzori Mt. National Park with a lunch break in Mbarara town, to a hotel or camp site at Ruboni park gate.
Day 3: After an early breakfast the hike starts at Nyakalengija. A fairly easy walk to Nyabitaba hut (2650m) where you will have your first hike overnight (5-6hrs).
Day 4: From Nyabitaba hut pass through tropical vegetation, crossing streams to guy Yeonman hut for an over night Camping (6hrs).
Day 5: Hike from Guy Yeoman hut through a bog to the Kakamba rock shelters (3450m) to water falls and to the hut at Kitandara twin lakes (3990m) for an overnight camping (7 hrs).
Day 6: From Kitandara hut climb over boulders at the foots of Mt. Baker passing between the Glaciers of Sovoia and Elena down to Bunjuka hut (3900m) for a night camping (5hrs).
Day 7: Move down from Bujuku hut through stands giant heather, groundsel and Bamboo to John mate hut for your last mountain’s Night camping (5 hrs).
Day 8: The final stage is the return to Nyakalengija (about four to 5 hours) to hotel or campsite for an afternoon memorial rest and overnight.
Day 9: After an early breakfast drive back to Kampala for your next destination or to Entebbe International airport for an onward flight.
